You've Said

You've Said
You've said that when people pray,
Great things will be unveiled.
Souls set free, sickness cannot stay.
The demons have to flee,
And all things come to pass like what You've said
For the good of the ones You love.

You've said when I start to pray,
You will hear my prayers.
Things will change, mountains be removed.
I see You fight for me,
Great plans You will unfold like what You've said.
What a friend I have in You.

So when I pray
There's an open heaven
List'ning to my every plea,

So I will pray.
I'm standing on God's promises.
All because You've said so,
And Lord, I believe.

As a father, I often get caught in situations when my children complained about things that I’ve said, and regretfully I failed to follow up. They would say something like: “…but daddy you’ve said …..” and that would usually move me to do what I’ve said for them.

God is a much better Father than all of us could ever be. He gave us many great promises in the Bible, and He is still speaking today to us concerning what He will do, if we care to listen. And the best thing about being children of God is that we can always ‘remind’ God about what He had said. You see, God is never forgetful but we are. Only if we are willing to dwell more into His word, and study more into the fine prints of His promises, then we will never forget what He said. To remember God’s word is crucial to the building up of our faith. We exercise our faith in God by remembering His promises and eagerly waiting for His words to come to pass. This is where prayer comes into the picture. When we pray, we can expect great things to happen, simply because we are praying to a great big God. When we pray, we can expect God to do what He had said. From my life experience with God, I can confidently tell you this: He always answers prayers, and He always gives more than what I have asked. Won’t you do the same when your children ask you for something ? Of course, because you love your children to bits right? You would never give them anything that would harm them. Our Father loves us. He looks towards our highest good.
