I will dwell in the shelter of the Most High
I will rest in the shadow of my King
You have filled my cup, I'm overjoyed

O my Jesus, my Saviour, my King

With all my heart, with all my strength
I will praise You and adore You
I will hide Your words deep down in my heart
Lord I choose to trust in You

To be near God is a choice. When we dwell in the shelter of God, we will find His protection over our lives, and we will surely taste the goodness of God. To be under the shadow of somebody, you need to be in close proximity with that person. Likewise, to be close to God means we have God in our mind, in our actions and in our words at all times. This might sound very demanding, but you see, God is a loving God. He loves to be with us. As much as we want our children to come near us so that we can bless them, so how much more our God as our heavenly Father desires our company daily. Children who get to spend great amount of quality time with their parents often feel well loved and fulfilled. So let's make a wise choice today by spending time with our Heavenly Father. We have everything to gain... nothing to lose as we honour our Father.
